Goals

At Fastlog, sustainability is at the core of our actions. Our commitment spans all areas of the company and is based on the firm principle of taking responsibility for the environment and society. For us, sustainability in logistics means designing logistical processes to be resource-efficient, environmentally friendly, and economically efficient.

Our goal is to reduce harmful environmental impacts and the consumption of non-renewable resources in all our processes.

Initiatives

By 2030, we aim to reduce our CO2 emissions by 50% compared to 2020. By 2050, our goal is to achieve net-zero emissions by fully transitioning our vehicle fleet to renewable energy, sourcing 100% of our heating from renewable sources, and using 100% recycled materials for our packaging.

We participate annually in the EcoVadis sustainability assessment and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) to review and improve our sustainability efforts.

Regarding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), we pursue various initiatives at Fastlog. These include measures to protect people and society as well as occupational safety and health (using the corresponding SWICO industry solution). We engage socially through partnerships with organizations such as VEBO and TRANSfair and are members of the “procure.ch” trade association to promote sustainability along our supply chain.

Success

Our success is reflected in various milestones:

  • In 2023, we switched our electricity consumption to 100% renewable energy.
  • In the same year, we achieved the EcoVadis sustainability rating “Silver,” placing us among the top 3% of our industry.
  • Our building lighting was completely converted to LED technology, involving 15,000 light fixtures.
  • We source 1,653 MWh of district heating (KVA) for heating.
  • Last year, we used 137,608 boxes made of recycled cardboard.
  • Since 2020, we have reduced our total annual energy consumption (electricity, fuel, and fuels) by 7%.
